Project description:
SMART MuniDebt is a project aimed at simplifying and enhancing the borrowing process for local self-government units in the Republic of Serbia. The objective of the project is to consolidate the relevant legal framework, procedures, and information accompanying the borrowing process, and to analyze them through a unified digital solution tailored to the needs of local governments. A specific focus is placed on mapping the existing regulatory framework, identifying key steps in the borrowing procedure, and pinpointing the practical challenges faced by local authorities. The development of this digital platform is intended to contribute to greater transparency, reduced administrative burden, and more efficient financial decision-making at the local level.
