Applied Economics Conference: Labour, Health, Education and Welfare

On September 19 and 20, 2024, the Institute of Economic Sciences and the University of Antwerp organized the Sixteenth Annual International Scientific Conference and the Third "Applied Economics Conference: Labour, Health, Education and Welfare". The conference brought together researchers from around the globe to share ideas and present projects focused on applied economic issues. Key topics included working conditions, parental leave policies, school tracking, gender and education, gender and labour market, and health.

Highlights of the event featured lectures by distinguished professors: Andrea Ichino from the European University Institute, Ludger Wößmann from the University of Munich, and Almudena Sevilla from the London School of Economics. On the second day, Professor Sevilla also led an exclusive masterclass titled "Crafting the Core: The Science behind the Contribution of Economic Papers."
