Description:
COST is an EU-funded programme that enables researchers to set up their interdisciplinary research networks in Europe and beyond. COST offers a unique way to jointly develop ideas and new initiatives across all science and technology fields, including social sciences and humanities, through pan-European networking of nationally funded research. COST provides funds for organising conferences, meetings, training schools, short scientific exchanges or other networking activities across a wide range of scientific topics.
The Institute of Economic Sciences is one of the partner organizations that will participate since November 2019 in the COST Action CA18215 - "China In Europe Research Network". The aim of this Action is to pool current and stimulate further research on China’s deepening economic engagements with Europe through the development of an interdisciplinary, holistic, cross-sectoral and pan-European understanding of the variegated impacts and strategies associated with these engagements. The aim is also to comprehend the likely political and geo-political consequences of these and to generate input on the policy implications of these issues involving relevant agencies from the EU, member countries, businessess, trade unions and other interested parties.
