Innovation Economics Department

Description of the research objectives and areas of interest

The main goal of the Innovation Economics Department is to provide concrete scientific evidence to the professional and scientific public about the impact of innovation on economic growth and development, to analyze the effects of innovation policies and to analyze the impact of the introduction of different types of innovation on the business performance of companies. The Department members' activities are aimed at establishing cooperation with potential and strengthening cooperation with existing partners in the country and abroad who have the same or similar fields of research.

The key areas of scientific research work of the Department's members are:

  • scientific research and innovation policy,
  • economic development and local economic development,
  • entrepreneurship,
  • intellectual capital,
  • digital transformation,
  • strategic management of research, development and innovation in organizations.

Specific areas of work of Department members include science, technology and innovation metrics; analysis of the innovation ecosystem; scientometrics and bibliometrics.
