DI-MARC project presented at the forum on December 3 - International Day of Persons with Disabilities

The Association for Persons with Disabilities, Belgrade (UOSI) organized the forum "Support for Employment and Education of Persons with Disabilities" on the International Day of People with Disabilities on 3 December. The meeting took place in the Zvezdara district. The aim of the meeting was to present support and education programs for people with disabilities in Serbia. The forum was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Labor, Employment, Veterans and Social Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, the Secretariat for Social Protection of Belgrade, the National Employment Service, the Municipality of Zvezdara, the Association of Persons with Disabilities and the Institute of Economic Sciences from Belgrade.

The organizer of the meeting (UOSI) - is a partner of the Institute of Economic Sciences in the implementation of an inclusive scientific project entitled Digital Marketing Capacity Building - Empowering Persons with Physical Disabilities for Remote Work" – DI-MARC.

The participants of the forum from the Institute of Economic Sciences were: Ivana Domazet, Aida Hanić and Valentina Vukmirović.

Ivana Domazet, as one of the moderators of the meeting, presented the DI-MARC project, which has been implemented by the Institute in the period 2023-2025, with the support of the European Commission and the European Social Fund. She pointed out that the project focuses on the implementation of digital technologies in the function of improving inclusion, i.e. improving the digital marketing skills of people with physical disabilities for remote work, but also on the creation of educational programs that can be applied to improve digital marketing skills and other vulnerable populations.

Aida Hanić and Valentina Vukmirović participated in the discussion on the topic of education of people with disabilities and pointed out the importance of the initiated DI-MARC project, the results of which will contribute to greater inclusion of people with physical disabilities in the business environment. In particular, they emphasized the importance of education and the creation of educational programs in the field of digital marketing, which will significantly improve the skills of people with disabilities and make them more competitive in the labor market in a digital environment.
