In cooperation with the National Academy for Public Administration (NAPА), a round table on "Directions for the development of NAPA's research activities" was held on Tuesday, 12 December 2023. The round table was opened with speeches by Prof. Dr Dejan Miletić, Acting Director of the National Academy for Public Administration, Nataša Dimitrijević, UNDP Programme Manager and Dr. Jovan Zubović, Director of the Institute of Economic Sciences.
Dr. Dijana Štrbac, head of the project "Evaluation of the impact and quality of training programmes in public administration", presented the research activities carried out, project results and recommendations for improving the system of professional training in public administration. As part of the project, a methodology for measuring the impact and quality of the training programmes was developed and an external evaluation of the impact of the training programmes in 2022 was carried out. The results of the project are summarised in the report on the external evaluation of the impact and quality of training programmes in public administration.
In addition to representatives of the National Academy for Public Administration and the Institute of Economic Sciences, the round table was also attended by the representatives of the Institute for Criminological and Sociological Research, the Faculty of Economics, the Faculty of Political Sciences and the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government. The round table provided an opportunity for the participants to suggest strategic directions for the future development of the NAPA Research Centre by proposing activities, cooperation models and plans for the next period.
The round table was organised as part of the project "Civil Service Training for the 21st Century in the Republic of Serbia", which is being implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) with the participation of the National Academy of Public Administration and the Institute of Economic Sciences.
