Minister of Science, Technological Development, and Innovation, Ph.D. Jelena Begović, visited the Institute of Economic Sciences on Tuesday, April 3, 2024, and met with the Institute's Board of Directors.

The Minister emphasized the very good scientific results of the Institute, highlighting its special significance for the Republic of Serbia, not only in terms of the development of economic science but also in terms of policy analysis and recommendations for policymakers.

The Institute's Director, Ph.D. Jovan Zubović, stated that yesterday's meeting was an opportunity for the Institute's researchers to hear about the ambitions of the Ministry of Science, Technological Development, and Innovation and for the Ministry to become acquainted with the Institute's strategy.

The Director highlighted that the Institute and the Ministry are engaged in providing conditions for researchers, primarily in the social sciences, to deposit primary data. He also emphasized the ongoing collaboration related to the analysis of the effects of science and the potential evaluation of the success and quality of researchers' work in Serbia.

The Minister also met with researchers from the Institute, with whom she discussed the challenges of scientific research and the impact of digitization and modern technologies on their scientific practice, emphasizing the need for continuous adaptation to dynamic changes in the scientific ecosystem.
