Development Publication Demographic Changes and Economic Growth in the Republic of Serbia

Project Description:

The project aims to create a publication devoted to the analysis of demographic changes and economic growth in the period between the two last population censuses in Serbia. The creation of this publication should contribute to understanding the interdependence of demographic changes and economic growth in the last decade in Serbia. In addition, relevant basis is created for further research and policy making, monitoring the implementation of strategies adopted so far and developing future strategies. The research includes:

• detailed analysis of demographic trends, especially between the last two censuses, with a special emphasis on demographic changes in the working-age population, as well as an analysis of expected demographic trends,
• macroeconomic analysis of economic performance in the transition period since 2015, with an emphasis on structural and fiscal performance
• analysis of the impact of demographic indicators on economic performance.
