International Scientific Conference "Sustainable Development for Sustainable Future" Held

The International Scientific Conference “Sustainable Development for Sustainable Future” was held from 9 to 10 October 2025, in a hybrid format (onsite at the Institute of Economics - Skopje and online).

The conference was jointly organized by the Institute of Economic Sciences (Belgrade), the Institute of Economics – Skopje, Ss. Cyril and Methodius University, the Institute for Development and International Relations (Zagreb), and the National Institute for Economic Research “Costin C. Kiriţescu” of the Romanian Academy.

During the two-day event, researchers presented papers dedicated to current topics in the fields of sustainable development, green economy, and innovation.

The conference program was structured through four thematic sessions and poster presentations, covering the following areas:

  • climate change, economic growth, and labor market transformation,
  • circular economy and industrial policy,
  • sustainable entrepreneurship and innovation,
  • green transition and consumer behavior.

More than 60 participants took part in the conference. The event underscored the importance of international cooperation and knowledge exchange among researchers, highlighting the need for a collaborative approach to addressing the challenges of sustainable development.
