As part of the ROCS project, approved by the Serbian Science Fund through the Diaspora 2024 programme – research visits, on 16April 2026, Dr Ružica Savčić from the Department of Economics at the University of Cyprus will deliver a methodological seminar.
The seminar will focus on the application of econometric methods in evaluating the impact of public policies. Participants will be introduced to Difference-in-Differences methods for identifying causal effects in panel data. The seminar will cover the basic framework of this method, regression with two-way fixed effects, event-study approaches, and issues that arise when treatment is introduced at different times for different units. The theoretical component will be complemented by a practical Stata workshop, where participants will learn how to implement these methods and interpret the results obtained.
The seminar will take place at the Institute of Economic Sciences. Interested participants can register their attendance by 10 April 2026 at the following link: https://forms.gle/5tngegcpFgWZrg2A9
Further information about the methodological seminar will be available on the project page: https://ien.bg.ac.rs/projekti.php?pID=8620&lng=eng
