Black Swan in the World Economy 2020

Within the internal projects of the Institute of Economic Sciences, the project "BLACK SWAN IN THE WORLD ECONOMY 2020" was approved for the period April to September 2020. The project aims to analyze the economic effects caused by the COVID-19 pandemic on the Serbian economy. The IMF declared the beginning of the recession globally at the end of March this year, predicting that the effects of this crisis would be much higher than the global economic crisis of 2008. In this regard, a team of 17 researchers at the Institute of Economic Sciences realized that there was a great need. The primary reason is the uncertainty of the world currently, and therefore Serbia is part of global trends.
