Economic aspects of the implementation of sensory gardens in preschool institutions in Serbia

The realization of this project implies a number of research activities, which can be classified into the following groups:

  1. Literature review in the various aspects of the design, development and function of sensory gardens;
  2. Collection, processing and analysis of the data regarding the number of children aged 3-7, in total, as well as children with special needs, at the level of the Municipality of Stari Grad, the city of Belgrade and Serbia.
  3. Examining cases of successful examples of the realization of projects of sensory gardens in the region and developed countries.
  4. Conducting surveys in a number of kindergartens in Belgrade in order to collect data on attitudes and opinions of teachers and directors of children's institutions about the need, benefits, possibilities and limitations of the development of sensory gardens in order to meet the needs of specific age groups of children's groups (3-7 years old), especially children with special needs.
