Project duration: 23. 04.2024 – 23. 08. 2024
Project description:
The LERIT project investigates the interconnectedness of smoking, alcohol use, and gambling and their health and socioeconomic consequences. The project aims to develop a methodology for studying the interactions between these activities and to propose a development-stage toolkit for applying the findings in the real world. Although the risks associated with each of these activities are well known, less is known about risk levels resulting from their cumulative effects. The project aims to fill this gap by developing a methodology that comprehensively examines these risks and their interaction. Using population data collected through the CAWI survey, the project will attempt to define risk levels and propose strategies for improving public policies that could reduce the negative consequences of these activities.
