European Conference on Tobacco or Health

The 8^th European Conference on Tobacco or Health was held in Berlin, Germany,  19 – 22 February, 2020. Jovan Zubovic, Marko Vladisavljevic, Mihajlo Djukic and Olivera Jovanovic, representatives from the Institute of Economic Sciences, disseminated the research results and presented main findings about tobacco price and income elasticities in Serbia. Marko Vladisavljevic presented “Cigarettes price elasticity in Serbia: comparison of low, middle and high income households”, while Mihajlo Djukic had poster presentation titled “Effectiveness of Tobacco Taxation Policy in Serbia in the period 2015 – 2017”.

Beside IES representatives, the participants also were representatives of national research teams from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia as well as policymakers from the region, representatives of international organizations and civil societies.
