Presentation of the study SILC

On February 25th 2020, at the Institute of Economic Sciences, Belgrade, was held presentation of the study “Survey on Income and Living Conditions (SILC) Methodological Framework: Significance, Limits and Points Important for the Republic of Serbia”.

The study represents a collaboration between the Institute of Economic Sciences and Social Inclusion and Poverty Reduction Unit of the Government of the Republic of Serbia. The focus of the study is on understanding the methodological changes that accompanied the implementation of the Survey on Income and Living Conditions in Serbia, addressing both the changes in the questionnaires themselves, the impact of methodological changes on income components in Serbia, and on the formation of basic indicators of poverty and inequality. In some segments, the study also provided a comparison of methodological challenges in Serbia with the challenges and practices of other countries conducting the same survey.

The main findings were presented by Kosovka Ognjenović, PhD, Research associate, and Dejana Pavlovic, PhD, Research associate, from Institute of Economic Sciences.
