International scientific workshop Migration and Development: Between Wishful Thinking and Practical Results

The Department of Economic History and Theory of the Institute of Economic Sciences (DEHT-IES) organized the international scientific workshop Migration and Development: Between Wishful Thinking and Practical Results in cooperation with the Leibniz Institute for East and Southeast European Studies (IOS) from Regensburg on March 2 and 3. The workshop represented the first activity of the scientific research project Transnational Families, Farms and Firms: Migrant Entrepreneurs in Kosovo and Serbia from the 1960s to today - TraFFF, supported by IOS. In addition to the other participants, IES researchers, Vladimir Andrić, PhD and Mihajlo Đukić, PhD, gave notable presentations. The implementation of the international scientific workshop also represents the first concrete result of the cooperation between IES and IOS, formally established on January 12, 2023, by signing the Memorandum on Scientific and Educational Cooperation.
