ESPE 2023

We are pleased to announce that the Institute of Economic Sciences (IES) hosted the 36th Annual Conference of the European Society for Population Economics (ESPE). The conference was held on June 15-17, 2023, in Belgrade, Serbia.

The conference aims to facilitate the exchange of research ideas and results across various fields, including the economics of the household, labor economics, public economics, demography, and health economics.

The Institute of Economic Sciences hosted over 260 participants from 36 countries.

Emilia Del Bono (University of Essex) was the program chair, and Lara Lebedinski (Institute of Economic Sciences, Serbia, and University of Vienna, Austria) coordinated the local organizing team. The keynote speakers were Stefania Albanesi (University of Pittsburgh) and Martha J. Bailey (UCLA). The presidential address was given by Libertad González (Pompeu Fabra University).
